The School of Management Studies and Commerce imparts education under two Departments, viz. Department of Management Studies, and Department of Commerce. Recently the ‘Centre for Human Values and Ethics’ has also been approved under the School. Thus School offers a wide range of programmes with an aim to achieve excellence in business education with multi-disciplinary, multi-sectoral and developmental perspective. In the management programmes semester system is followed and the programmes of the Department of Commerce are offered on the annual pattern of examination. The focus of the School is on the application of the knowledge and appropriate contemporary understanding of the different courses of study. Additionally problem solving and decision making skills are given due importance. The School offers the following programmes of study: M. Com., B. Com., MBA, BBA, DIM, PGDHRM, PGDMM, Certificate Course in Office Management and Bachelor of Commerce Preparatory Programme.
